On May 23rd, Tongtai Machine & Tool Co., Ltd held an Open House Show at its headquarters, with nearly two hundred guests in attendance. The event featured multiple seminars and showcased various cutting-edge machine tools with high efficiency, precision, and automation in production. These included the MT-2000 parallel twin-spindle twin-turret CNC lathe with a loading/unloading robotic arm, the GT-630F five-axis machining center, and the AMH-350 powder bed fusion additive manufacturing machine that integrates additive and subtractive processes. Various intelligent automation solutions and tooling solutions were also fully displayed. The exhibition also invited multiple supplier partners to create a complete industrial ecosystem.
Chairman Yen pointed out in his speech that Tongtai's last open house show was held in 2016. After many years, they hope to restart more opportunities for customer interaction and look forward to increasing the frequency of such exhibitions. Tongtai aims to use itself as a platform for different themes, customers, and suppliers to exchange ideas and spark innovation.
Customers were deeply impressed by the MT-2000 parallel dual-spindle dual-turret CNC lathe, famous as the "busiest lathe in Taiwan." This machine, which integrates robotic arms for automatic loading and unloading, reduces the need for labor. With a parallel dual-spindle structure, it essentially functions as two lathes in one, saving space and shortening the distance between processing areas. It also includes processes such as visual recognition for material retrieval, pre-material inspection, workpiece cleaning, and three-dimensional measurement.
The seminars at the Tongtai open house covered the challenges and countermeasures for automating forging part machining, innovative cutting and its technological applications, and trends in additive manufacturing. These sessions received high customer praise, and subsequent business opportunities are expected to emerge gradually.
